A delightful early summer walk through picturesque fields and dappled woodland, offering a perfect mix of open countryside and shaded trails. Walking clockwise, the route begins with a steady descent, and around halfway there's the option of a short detour to St Andrews Lakes for refreshments and a relaxing lunch stop.
The second half of the walk gradually climbs back towards the start, although the ascent is surprisingly gentle and far less demanding than the initial descent might suggest. The final stretch follows part of the North Downs Way, before crossing the open fields surrounding Silverhand Estate vineyard, with sweeping countryside views providing a fitting end to an enjoyable route.
A varied and rewarding walk that combines woodland, farmland, vineyards, and excellent opportunities for a refreshment stop along the way.
