This was a lovely walk through the forest, its on a path, is very well marked and maintained. There is a Famine garden and also a arboretum of Irish trees just off the White route. The highest point in Westmeath is here, at a whopping 258m 😂, It's accessed from the blue route though so a bit off the while walk. We finished this 8km route with a few diversions in just under 2 hours. Great trail for kids and dogs.
