Okay, where to even begin with the TMB? This trek is the stuff of legends, and it absolutely lives up to the hype. Hiking through three countries is as epic as it sounds. One day you're munching on a croissant in France, the next you're enjoying pasta in Italy, and before you know it, you're sipping on a coffee in Switzerland. Starting out from Chamonix felt like stepping into a postcard. The trails are well-marked, but a shoutout to this app for its offline maps - they came in clutch a few times. Each day felt like its own little adventure, with varying landscapes from alpine forests to tiny charming villages. A bit of advice: don't skimp on your gear. The weather is as moody as a teenager, so be prepared. And do yourself a favor and try out the local dishes at each stop. I'm still dreaming about a particular tartiflette I had. The trail has its challenges, no doubt. But there's this cool sense of connection you feel with fellow hikers. Everyone's out there, pushing their limits, and there's this unspoken bond you share. To wrap it up, if the TMB isn't on your bucket list, it should be. It's more than a hike; it's an experience. Go for it! 10/10

Amazing trail with an even more amazing atmosphere with the other pilgrims.. walked the Camino Frances (from St-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago/ Fisterra) in September/October 2022. Maybe not the most beautiful Camino (nature wise) but I personally was impressed how beautiful it was, lots of variation in scenery and the atmosphere in general made it the best. The other pilgrims all became close friends! Highly recommend this trail for everyone!

GR 54 - Tour of Oisans and Ecrins

A very challenging trail. Completed in 9 days going clockwise. Outstanding scenery. The Écrins is a stunning national park and in parts it felt very remote. Elevation per day was some of the most I’ve done on any trail so far with 2 passes per day at some stages. Plenty of refuges to eat/drink which can help save some pack weight. Weather was great, sunshine everyday with two overnight thunderstorms. Overall I’d recommend the trail. Not for the feint hearted though!
