My favourite U.K. trail, however the person(s) who recorded it here made an error in the Kirkby Stephen to Appleby stage - at Kaber do not continue East (as indicated in the recorded route) or you will eventually be forced to ford the River Belah, which would not be possible during high levels. The correct route is to head straight across the intersection at Kaber then North to a safer river crossing, then follow the northern bank of the river. Check the LWDA site for the correct route.
