The Northern Trek is a big walk. However, it can be completed in one go, over approx five weeks or in six sections, over about a year. Lots of choices. Hiking through all four seasons, for me and my pals, was tremendous. Of course it links together The Pennine Way and The West Highland Way, so if you have completed these previously then its possible to do the section from Milngavie to Kirk Yetholm.
