Vadvetjåkka National Park

Vadvetjåkka National Park is located in the northernmost part of Sweden, in the county of Norrbotten. It is situated near the border with Norway and Finland. Nearby cities and towns include Kiruna, the largest city in the region, and Gällivare. Established in 1924, Vadvetjåkka National Park is one of Sweden's oldest national parks. Its history is intertwined with the Sami people, who have inhabited the area for centuries. The park was created to protect the unique Arctic wilderness and Sami cultural heritage. Parking facilities are available at the park's entrance. There is a designated parking area with a limited number of spaces.
