Saltfjellet-Svartisen National Park is located in Norway, in the Nordland county. It is situated approximately 100 kilometers north of the city of Bodø and 200 kilometers south of the city of Tromsø. Nearby towns include Mo i Rana, Fauske, and Narvik. Established in 1970, Saltfjellet-Svartisen National Park is one of Norway's oldest national parks. The park has a rich history, with evidence of human activity dating back thousands of years. The area was once inhabited by Sami people, who used the land for hunting, fishing, and herding reindeer. The park offers ample parking facilities for visitors. There are several parking areas located throughout the park, with a total of around 300 parking spaces.
