Coillte's Tibradden Wood is a beautiful and exciting forest to visit. ZIPIT, located beside the carpark, operate a high ropes and zip line course high up in the pine and spruce trees. Walking trails lead from the carpark through the forest and up to open heath habitats on Tibradden Mountain where stunning views of Dublin and Wicklow open up. The Dublin Mountains Way and Mountain Access walking trails lead you to Tibradden Cairn, an archaeological monument dating to the Neolithic period. The Dublin Mountains Way links Tibradden with another monument, Fairy Castle at Ticknock. Tibradden Wood is also within the Dublin Mountains Partnership (DMP) area. Take a look at the DMP website to check for upcoming free guided hikes and lots of interesting information about the Dublin Mountains forests. Coillte and the DMP follow Leave No Trace Ireland Principles, please being all litter, including dog waste, home for appropriate disposal. Dogs are welcome but must be under effectual control at all times. There is a designated dog on lead section along the Dublin Mountains Way trail in the heath area to protect livestock in adjoining lands and ground nesting birds.
