A medium, one-way hike from Holcombe covering about 1.7 miles with a steady 256 ft of ascent and minimal descent. Starting near Holcombe village, the route gently climbs towards open countryside above Ramsbottom, offering expanding views over the Irwell Valley. Short enough for a brief outing yet with enough uphill to feel rewarding, it’s suitable for reasonably fit walkers and a good introduction to the local Pennine foothills.
