Carreg Las - The Carmarthenshire Fans

finally ticked off the last 600m + peak I needed to complete on the Carmarthenshire Fans today. I now only need a short section on Hatterall Ridge, above Llanthony to have completed every peak over 600m in the whole of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Started this route from the Llyn y Fan Fach car park. It was a case of simply trying to take the best route without dropping in and out of gullies before heading up onto the trig point at 585m on Carreg yr Ogof. Conditions today weren’t great so had to be on the ball heading South across to Carreg Las 635m and its stone mounds. We did intend to head back NE over to the Beacons Way but given the conditions, decided to drop back down on a figure of 8 route instead.
