Around & Over Ysgyryd Fawr - Upper Limits UK

We started from the NT car park which is free for members on the B4521, South of Skirrid.

We then headed out NW on familiar ground to Pant y Skirrid and continuing on to the Poultry Farm. The two paths marked on the OS map (the first heading East the second heading SE) are non existent so it was a road section round to pick up the Beacons Way heading South up to the open Access land.

From here we went West then SSW on the main path running under the peak itself and through the split in the hill itself.

Once at Caer Wood (beneath 364m) it was back on the Beacons way up to the summit at 486m. We dropped off on the Beacons way too to meet the footpath that handrails the open access land South down past Skirrid Farm.

The path is a bit sketchy through here so simply head South East to pick up the Byway and track back to the B4521 and back into the picnic area of the Car Park.
