From Ambleside, you can take a local bus or taxi to Bridgend.
The loop begins with a steady ascent towards Dove Crag, where you’ll gain your first significant elevation. The initial climb is around 3 km (1.9 miles) and will take you up approximately 400 meters (1312 feet).
