Around the 3 km (1.9 miles) mark, you'll enter Chantry Wood, a serene woodland area that offers a stark contrast to the open landscapes of Newlands Corner. The wood is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, foxes, and numerous bird species. Keep an eye out for ancient beech and oak trees, some of which are centuries old.
