The trail takes you through Verulamium Park, which is steeped in history. Verulamium was one of the largest Roman cities in Britain, and the remnants of this ancient civilization are scattered throughout the park. The Roman Wall, a significant landmark on this trail, dates back to around AD 270. As you walk along the wall, you can almost feel the history beneath your feet.
