Ockhorst Route

The Ockhorst Route is an approximately 8-kilometer (5-mile) circular hike that begins near the Catholic church of Wichmond-Vierakker, specifically at the Ludgerus building. This trail offers a gentle walk with no significant elevation gain, making it accessible for hikers of all levels.

Trail Overview

Starting from the Ludgerus building, the path meanders through the picturesque Achterhoek landscape, characterized by a harmonious blend of fields, meadows, forests, and historic farms. The route traverses the 'Suideras' and 'Hackfort' estates, as well as sections of private land. Hikers are advised to adhere to posted instructions and keep dogs on a leash to respect the area's guidelines.
