If driving, head towards Embsay, which is easily accessible from the A65. There is parking available near the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway station. For those using public transport, the nearest train station is Skipton, from where you can take a local bus or taxi to Embsay.### Trail Overview The trail begins near the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway station, a historical landmark in itself, offering a glimpse into the region's rich railway heritage. From here, the path ascends gradually through open fields and pastures, providing panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.### Key Landmarks and Sections#### Embsay Crag At approximately 2 km (1.2 miles) into the hike, you'll reach Embsay Crag. This rocky outcrop offers stunning views over the village of Embsay and the surrounding dales. It's a great spot for a short break and some photography.#### Rylstone Cross Continuing along the trail, you'll encounter Rylstone Cross at around the 6 km (3.7 miles) mark. This iconic stone cross stands on Rylstone Fell and has historical significance dating back to the 19th century.
