With no significant elevation gain, this loop is accessible to a wide range of hikers, though it is rated as medium difficulty due to its length and varied terrain.
To reach the trailhead, you can drive to Shenton, which is easily accessible via the A444 and A447 roads. For those using public transport, the nearest railway station is in Nuneaton, approximately 8 miles (13 km) away. From Nuneaton, you can take a local bus or taxi to Shenton.

The trail is steeped in history, passing through areas that played pivotal roles in the Wars of the Roses.
