Getting There To reach the trailhead, you can either drive or use public transport. If driving, head towards Lewes, where parking is available near the town center. Trail Overview The trail begins in the historic town of Lewes, known for its medieval architecture and the impressive Lewes Castle. Ditchling Beacon Around 8 km (5 miles) into the hike, you'll reach Ditchling Beacon, one of the highest points in East Sussex at 248 meters (814 feet) above sea level.
