#### Grike Summit At around the 4 km (2.5 miles) mark, you'll reach the summit of Grike. Standing at 488 meters (1,601 feet), this peak offers panoramic views of the surrounding fells and valleys. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Irish Sea. Take a moment to enjoy the scenery and perhaps snap a few photos before continuing.
#### Grike Fell Continuing along the ridge, you'll traverse Grike Fell. This section is relatively flat but can be boggy, especially after rain. The fell is home to a variety of bird species, including skylarks and meadow pipits, making it a delightful spot for birdwatchers. The flora here is typical of upland heath, with heather and bilberry bushes dotting the landscape.
#### Whoap The trail then descends slightly before climbing again towards Whoap, another notable peak in the area. This section, covering approximately 2 km (1.2 miles), involves a steeper ascent, adding another 100 meters (328 feet) to your elevation gain. The summit of Whoap offers equally stunning views and is a great place to take a break.
