If driving, head towards Brighton Ski Resort, located at 8302 S Brighton Loop Rd, Brighton, UT 84121. There is ample parking available near the resort. For those using public transport, take the UTA Ski Bus Route 972, which operates during the ski season and stops at Brighton Ski Resort.### Trail Overview The trail begins near the Brighton Ski Resort, where you will find clear signage directing you towards the Brighton Lakes Trail. The initial section of the trail is a gentle ascent through a dense forest of aspen and pine trees. After about 1 km (0.6 miles), you will reach a fork; take the left path to continue towards Lake Mary.### Lake Mary At approximately 2 km (1.2 miles) into the hike, you will arrive at Lake Mary, a stunning alpine lake surrounded by rugged mountain peaks. The lake is a popular spot for fishing and offers picturesque views, making it an ideal location for a short break. The elevation gain to this point is around 200 meters (656 feet).### Twin Lakes Reservoir Continuing on the trail, you will ascend further to reach Twin Lakes Reservoir. This section involves a steeper climb, adding another 200 meters (656 feet) of elevation gain over the next 1.5 km (0.9 miles). The reservoir is a serene body of water, often reflecting the surrounding peaks and sky.
