A'Chir Ridge Loop via Beinn a' Chliabhain is a combination of hiking and climbing route. If you are planning to come over, a car is unnecessary. Regular Caledonia Macbrayne ferries run from Ardrossan on the mainland to Brodick. The ascent begins from 6.5 km and continues on till 8.5. In winter this trail becomes a grade III route. This trail requires high mountaineering skills and should not be attempted without adequate experience and gear.
