Situated in the Nelson Lakes National Park, near Saint Arnaud in the Nelson/Tasman area, the Mount Robert Circuit starts from the Mount Robert Carpark and combines both the Pinchgut Track and Paddy’s Track. Also, check our latest community posts for trail updates.An alpine trail, the track attains a high elevation and is very exposed when above the tree line so proper outdoor gear and clothing is necessary. Accessible all year round, the trail is used primarily for hiking and bird watching and there are stunning views over Lake Rotoiti. Beautiful wild flowers are abundant in the spring and summer, the best time to attempt it, although there are often many wasps at this time of year so take antihistamine if required. This trail can be completed in approx 2 hrs 49 mins. Caution is advised on trail times as this depends on multiple variables.
