The Diamond Lake and Hospital Flat conservation areas are in a region carved out by Ice Age glaciers, alongside native forests and shrub land. The Diamond Lake Circuit Track takes about 45 minutes to complete, although caution is advised on trail times as this depends on multiple variables. For more info,

Graded as an easy trail, it is 2.5 km and starts from the carpark and follows an old road to Diamond Lake. Rated as easy, this is a great family trail, although in the wintertime caution is required on the track, which because of ice may not be suitable to hike.
