This popular hike is located near Te Aroha on the western side of the Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park. It passes through attractive and ever changing natural scenery to arrive at the viewing platform at the base of the Wairere Falls, a spectacular 153 m waterfall. With its lush native forests and tree ferns and several wooden bridges crossing the river, giving great views of the gushing water rapids below, anyone hiking this track will not be disappointed. A 5 km trail, it is rated as easy and takes around three to four hours to do with the return via the same path.
