This is a 18.2 km fairly popular out and back trail, near Cape Regina and follows the West Coast to lead down past steep cliffs to the long and beautiful Te Werahi beach. As well as having great views over the ocean, there is plenty of wildlife to be seen here, especially in the spring and summer months, although note that there is no shade on this track. This trail is used mainly for hiking, running and camping and is rated as difficult; be aware of the tide, as when high the beach is not accessible in many parts. Dogs are not permitted.
