This is a popular trail for hiking and running, the best time to visit this trail is February through November.
This trail begins by crossing the Swift River as it heads towards the Pond. One must take caution not to cross this river during the spring runoff season or after a significant rain storm. Visitors will travel through a forested area before entering a marsh section with a boardwalk and eventually reaching the pond.
The two streams needed to cross can sometimes be muddy, so water shoes are advisable, as the water can be leech infested. Proceed with caution.
Other wildlife that one needs to look out for are - snakes and ticks and bugs!
Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash.
