#### Rock Harbor to Mount Ojibway The initial section of the trail takes you through lush forests, gradually ascending towards Mount Ojibway. This part of the trail is approximately 8 kilometers (5 miles) with an elevation gain of about 200 meters (656 feet). As you approach Mount Ojibway, you'll encounter the Ojibway Tower, an old fire lookout that offers panoramic views of the island and Lake Superior. This is a great spot for a rest and some photography.
#### Mount Ojibway to Mount Franklin Continuing from Mount Ojibway, the trail meanders through a mix of forested areas and open ridges. This section is around 7 kilometers (4.3 miles) with a moderate elevation gain. Mount Franklin, named after Benjamin Franklin, is another highlight of the trail. The summit provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape, including the Canadian shoreline on clear days.
