The Coumshingaun lough loop is a roughly 7km loop around the picturesque lake. This has become a popular destination for hiking due to spectacular images on social media. You should proceed with caution though. The South Western corner of this trail is very difficult and can be slippy on the ascent. Most other parts of the trail are straight forward but that section alone warrants caution.
On the way up the southern ridge and at the top, you can expect beautiful views as far as the Irish Sea, and spectacular views of the lake.
