Although only 6km in length, this is a fairly strenuous loop hike with a total elevation gain of just under 1000 ft in County Wicklow. Following the Poulanass Waterfall the trail then cuts through the beautiful Lugduff Valley, but expect some steep climbs, scrambling and boardwalks, near to exposed cliffs. The trail follows forest tracks and rough mountain paths so you need to be reasonably fit for this hike, which is not suitable for young children.
There are great views over the Upper Lake from the Spinc, Dogs are permitted on this blue arrow marked trail, on a lead. Parking is at the Upper Lake car park, Glendalough.
