Spinc and Wicklow Way - Glendalough

Glendalough is one of the more popular visitor areas in Ireland. And once you're there, you will see why! 
This glacier-formed valley is one of the most picturesque locations in the country and while the valley floor is spectacular, wait until you see the views from the side of Lugduff Mountain or Derrybawn! 

This trail is certainly no easy feat. With an elevation gain of around 534m over 11km, this is a good challenge, even for the most experienced hikers. 

The route is well marked and maintained. Dogs are allowed on the trail, but must be kept on a leash. This is a challenging trail, so it would not be suitable for small children or strollers. 

During the summer months, the Upper lake car park can get quite busy. Other car parks are provided, but will require a longer hike to get to this trail head.
