Powerscourt Waterfall

Visit Ireland’s highest waterfall on the moderate 6.6km Powerscourt Waterfall loop that lies in the foothills of the Wicklow Mountains within the Powerscourt Estate. Entry is chargeable for the house and gardens which are 5km away. Waterfall entry is also chargeable, and there is a car park and a short walk available, whilst the family friendly facilities including playground, picnic area and snack bar makes it accessible for all. 

A popular spot, it’s advised to arrive early to avoid crowds. The trail has a total elevation gain of 997 ft and is predominantly a gravel trail with some wooded sections and a tough climb to start. There are lots of other trails in the area to suit all levels of fitness. 

Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a leash.
