The Ireland Way® is a 1011 km trail that starts in Castletownbere, Ireland and ends in Ballycastle, Northern Ireland. While the trail itself can't be cycled, there are nearby alternative routes that can be taken instead. While is over 1000km in length, due to the relatively low elevation gains, it is considered to be easy to hike (total elevation gain of 13081m). Normally the trail takes 52 days to complete but can be finished in as little as 30 days.
Overall its best to hike the trail during the summer months (June, July, and August) but, due to Ireland's mild climate, it can be hiked at any time of year with proper gear and preparation. The warmest months are June, July, and August and the coldest months are December, January, and February. The wettest months are March, April, and May and the driest months are June, July, and August.
