Historical Significance As you continue, you will come across several historical landmarks. Around the 4 km (2.5 miles) mark, you will find the ruins of an old watchtower, which dates back to medieval times. This tower was once part of a network of fortifications used to protect the region from invaders. Information plaques provide insights into the history and significance of this structure.

Flora and Fauna The trail is rich in biodiversity. You will pass through sections of mixed deciduous and coniferous forests, home to a variety of wildlife including deer, foxes, and numerous bird species.
