#### Sidney Wood Starting from the car park, you will first enter Sidney Wood. This area is known for its serene atmosphere and dense canopy of trees. Keep an eye out for ancient oak and beech trees, which provide a habitat for a variety of bird species. Approximately 2 km (1.2 miles) into the hike, you’ll come across remnants of the Wey and Arun Canal, a historical waterway that played a significant role in the region's industrial past.

#### Westland Copse As you continue, you’ll transition into Westland Copse. This section of the trail is particularly rich in flora, with seasonal wildflowers carpeting the forest floor. Around the 4 km (2.5 miles) mark, you’ll find a small clearing with a picturesque pond, an ideal spot for a short break.
