From Minehead, you can take a local bus to Selworthy.### Trail Overview The trail begins near the historic Selworthy Church, a beautiful 14th-century structure that is worth a visit before you start your hike. From here, the path ascends gradually through lush woodlands and open fields, offering stunning views of the Exmoor National Park.### Key Landmarks and Sections - Selworthy Beacon (2 km / 1.2 miles in): As you climb towards Selworthy Beacon, you will gain about 100 meters (328 feet) in elevation. The beacon itself is a prominent hilltop offering panoramic views of the Bristol Channel, the Quantock Hills, and even South Wales on a clear day. This spot is historically significant as it was used as a signaling point during the Spanish Armada in 1588.
