Starting near Manchester, England, the Longford Park Loop is a delightful 2 km (1.24 miles) trail with no significant elevation gain, making it an accessible yet engaging hike for many. The trailhead is conveniently located near Longford Park, a well-known green space in the Stretford area. ### Getting There For those using public transport, the nearest tram stop is Stretford Metrolink Station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the park. If you're driving, there is ample parking available at the Longford Park car park, located off Ryebank Road.### Trail Overview The loop trail is estimated to be of medium difficulty, primarily due to its varied terrain and the need for some navigation skills. The path is well-marked but can be muddy after rain, so appropriate footwear is recommended. ### Points of Interest - Longford Hall: Approximately 0.5 km (0.31 miles) into the hike, you'll come across the remnants of Longford Hall.
