#### Battle Hill The first section of the trail takes you up Battle Hill. This ascent is gradual but steady, offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The climb is about 1.5 km (0.9 miles) with an elevation gain of approximately 50 meters (164 feet). Keep an eye out for the diverse birdlife that inhabits this area, including kestrels and buzzards.
#### Great Wood After descending Battle Hill, you'll enter the Great Wood, a dense forest that provides a stark contrast to the open fields.
