Just completed the trail yesterday in 11 days, and absolutely loved it, even with the very mixed bag of weather! We also did the high route up to Red Pike in the lakes, would highly, highly recommended to anyone who has the chance❤️

hiked over 10 days in early June 2022 had a very mixed bag of weather. camping every night with a mixture of wild camping and pub gardens .the trail starts off fairly easily before hitting the mountains of the lake district weather conditions will pay a major part on how easy or hard this sect can be. then on to the dales less hills but still some good climbs to deal with. the moors can be lonely and unforgiving in bad weather the lion Inn is always a haven camping only £2.50 with fantastic food . People say after the lakes you have done the hard bit i would say the rest isn't easy just not as steep 😉 dazbass007 youtube vlog online

Good trail but too much road walking in middle section. Did high routes in lakes districts - absolutely stunning! Completed in 8 days April’22. Was very lucky to have good dry weather throughout.

I've completed WC2C twice now. First in 2008 over 16 days then again this year over 5 days. Obviously two very different experiences. The first 1/3 of the walk through the lake district is absolutely stunning. There is some nice stuff in the final 2/3 too but there is just too much road walking for my tastes. Great walk but not one of the best in the world like some say. I wouldn't even consider it one of the best in the UK.

The first five days over the Lake District were probably the most memorable days of my life. It just got better and better as my body got into the swing of walking up and down day after day. The rest of the walk was beautiful too, just not as rugged. The weather is the important bit! If you can time it right, you will only get wet for most of it …..! Loved it

Fantastic west to east walk over 12 days, 11 of them sunny and dry! Mixture of camping and B&B’s, all of which were super helpful. Great trail.

Highly recommended walk. Completed in 10 days and used portage for sacks. Did the walk in May and made friends with several other groups. Stunning scenery and wonderful experience 👍

Walked this twice. First time - dry. Second time - torrential rain. Some streams on High Street near impassable. Swale in spate and flooded Reeth. Bridges washed away (see photo).
