The trail begins at Nose's Point, a prominent headland offering stunning views of the North Sea. As you start your hike, you'll be greeted by dramatic coastal cliffs and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks below. The initial section of the trail is relatively flat, making it an easy start for warming up.
Around the 1 km (0.6 miles) mark, you'll come across the remnants of the Dawdon Colliery, a nod to the region's rich mining history. This area was once a bustling coal mining site, and you can still see some of the old structures that have been preserved as historical landmarks.

The coastal grasslands are home to wildflowers such as thrift and sea campion, adding splashes of color to the landscape.
The trail is well-marked, but it's always a good idea to have a reliable navigation tool. HiiKER is an excellent app for this purpose, providing detailed maps and real-time tracking to ensure you stay on course. The path can be slippery in wet conditions, so sturdy hiking boots with good grip are recommended.
