This section is more exposed, so be prepared for sun and wind. The trail here is well-marked, but it's always a good idea to have a navigation tool like HiiKER for added security.
- Willard Peak (6 km / 3.7 miles in): At approximately 6 km (3.7 miles), you will arrive at Willard Peak, the highest point on this trail. The elevation gain to this point is around 500 meters (1,640 feet). The peak offers breathtaking views of the Wasatch Range and beyond.
- Ben Lomond (8 km / 5 miles in): From Willard Peak, the trail descends slightly before climbing again to Ben Lomond. This section is rocky and can be challenging, so watch your footing. The elevation gain here is an additional 100 meters (328 feet).
