Pygmy Ridge and Afterthought Arete Loop is a 'medium' difficulty-level trail that combines hiking and climbing. There are two ascents, a combined total of 800 meters first beginning at the pigmy ridge at 3.2 km and continuing on to 3.7 km, and the second at the afterthought arete which goes on from 5.2 km and 5.7 km. It becomes a good Grade IV route in the winter season, Pygmy ridge it's a very tricky climb due to its N-facing position, meanwhile, the afterthought arete is III.
