Take in the spectacular Cliffs of Moher on this 15.1km Doolin Cliff Walk near Ballysteen, County Clare, Ireland. A moderate walk that begins on the maintained paved pathways surrounding the ‘Cliffs of Moher’ visitor centre and follows the dramatic cliffs that overlook the wild Atlantic Ocean from 2296 ft. This is where good footwear is recommended as the trail can become muddy and slippery in places as it heads towards Doolin, known as the ‘gateway to the ancient sites on the Aran Islands’, and is well worth the wait for sunset on. The out and back nature of the route and the maintained section of path means this popular trail and one of Ireland’s favourite attractions, is accessible to all ages and abilities - walk the entire route or cut it down to make it family friendly. Admission is €7 per adult which contributes to the conservation of the area and includes access to secure car parking, toilets, the ‘Interactive Cliffs Exhibition’, water refill stations, cafes, and the gift shop. Dogs are allowed in and around the visitor centre grounds whilst on a leash but are not permitted on the trails outside due to farmland with livestock. Photo Credit:Christine Matthews
