Getting There To reach the trailhead, you can use public transport or drive. If you opt for public transport, take the MTR to Chai Wan Station and then a short taxi ride to the starting point near Cape Collinson Road. For those driving, parking is available near the trailhead, but spaces can be limited, especially on weekends.

Trail Sections and Landmarks The Wilson Trail is divided into ten sections, each offering unique experiences and challenges.

#### Section 1: Cape Collinson to Tai Tam Reservoir (Approx. 5.9 km / 3.7 miles) Starting near Cape Collinson, this section takes you through lush forests and offers stunning coastal views. The trail ascends gradually, gaining about 300 meters (984 feet) in elevation. Look out for the historic Cape Collinson Battery, a relic from World War II.

#### Section 2: Tai Tam Reservoir to Quarry Bay (Approx. 6.6 km / 4.1 miles) This section features the serene Tai Tam Reservoir, where you can enjoy the tranquil waters and surrounding greenery. The trail continues to climb, reaching an elevation of around 400 meters (1,312 feet). The Quarry Bay area marks the end of this section, where you can find various amenities.

#### Section 3: Quarry Bay to Tai Koo (Approx. 4.8 km / 3 miles) A relatively short section, this part of the trail offers a mix of urban and natural landscapes. The elevation gain is moderate, around 200 meters (656 feet). Tai Koo is a bustling area with plenty of options for rest and resupply.

#### Section 4: Tai Koo to Mount Parker (Approx. 7.4 km / 4.6 miles) This section is more challenging, with a significant elevation gain of about 600 meters (1,968 feet). The trail takes you through dense forests and up to Mount Parker, where panoramic views of Hong Kong await.

#### Section 5: Mount Parker to Tai Tam Gap (Approx. 6.8 km / 4.2 miles) Descending from Mount Parker, this section offers a mix of steep descents and gentle slopes. #### Section 6: Tai Tam Gap to Jardine's Lookout (Approx. 5.3 km / 3.3 miles) This section is known for its challenging terrain and steep ascents, gaining approximately 500 meters (1,640 feet) in elevation. Jardine's Lookout provides breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour and the surrounding islands.

#### Section 7: Jardine's Lookout to Wong Nai Chung Gap (Approx. 4.5 km / 2.8 miles) A relatively easier section, this part of the trail descends gradually, losing about 300 meters (984 feet) in elevation. Wong Nai Chung Gap is another historically significant area, with remnants of wartime bunkers and fortifications.
