If driving, set your GPS to Swanbourne Lake, Arundel, West Sussex, BN18 9PA, which is the nearest significant landmark. There is parking available near the lake. For those using public transport, take a train to Arundel Station, which is about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from the trailhead. From the station, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Swanbourne Lake.### Trail Overview The trail begins near Swanbourne Lake, a serene body of water surrounded by lush greenery. As you start your hike, you'll be greeted by the tranquil sounds of waterfowl and the sight of swans gliding across the lake. The first section of the trail is relatively flat, making it an easy warm-up.### Lonebeech Plantation Approximately 2 km (1.2 miles) into the hike, you'll enter the Lonebeech Plantation. This area is characterized by dense woodland, with towering beech trees providing ample shade. The forest floor is often carpeted with bluebells in the spring, creating a picturesque scene.
