#### Box Hill At around 2 km (1.2 miles) into the hike, you'll encounter Box Hill, a prominent landmark known for its stunning views over the North Downs. The climb up Box Hill is steep but rewarding, with an elevation gain of approximately 120 meters (394 feet). The summit provides panoramic vistas and is a great spot for a short break.
#### Juniper Hall and Mickleham Downs Continuing on, the trail descends into the valley, passing by Juniper Hall Field Centre, a historic building now used for environmental education. The path then ascends again towards Mickleham Downs, where you'll traverse through ancient woodlands rich in biodiversity. Look out for native wildlife such as deer, foxes, and a variety of bird species.
#### Denbies Wine Estate Around the 7 km (4.3 miles) mark, the trail skirts the edge of Denbies Wine Estate, one of England's largest vineyards. This section offers a unique opportunity to see the vineyards and perhaps even stop for a wine tasting if time permits.
#### Colley Hill and Reigate Hill As you approach the halfway point, the trail takes you over Colley Hill and Reigate Hill, both offering spectacular views and historical significance. Reigate Hill, in particular, is home to the Inglis Memorial, a structure built in 1909 that now serves as a viewpoint. The elevation gain here is moderate, adding another 100 meters (328 feet) to your climb.
#### Gatton Park Descending from Reigate Hill, you'll enter Gatton Park, a historic estate with beautifully landscaped gardens and lakes. This area is perfect for a leisurely stroll and offers several spots for a picnic.
