Getting There To reach the trailhead, you can drive to Wycollar, which is accessible via the A6068 road. There is a small car park near the village where you can leave your vehicle. If you prefer public transport, the nearest significant town is Colne, which has a train station. From Colne, you can take a local bus or taxi to Wycollar.

Trail Highlights As you set off from Wycollar, you will immediately be immersed in the serene countryside. The village itself is steeped in history, with the ruins of Wycollar Hall being a notable landmark. This hall is believed to have inspired Ferndean Manor in Charlotte Brontë's novel "Jane Eyre." The ancient packhorse bridge and the Clam Bridge, which dates back to the Iron Age, are also worth exploring.
