#### Pitstone Hill At approximately 3 km (1.9 miles) into the hike, you'll reach Pitstone Hill. #### Steps Hill Continuing along the trail, you'll approach Steps Hill around the 7 km (4.3 miles) mark. #### Beacon Hill The trail then leads you to Beacon Hill, the highest point of the hike at about 10 km (6.2 miles) in. The elevation here is around 248 meters (814 feet) above sea level. Beacon Hill is part of the ancient Ridgeway path, one of the oldest known routes in Britain, dating back over 5,000 years. The hill was historically used as a signaling point, hence its name.
