Carrountohill via Devil’s Ladder and back by Cnoc na Toinne including Cronins Yard Loop

I was with my partner Rosie for this walk so wanted something she could do before I headed up Devil’s ladder, so we did half of Cronnins Yard Loop together - it was very boggy but worth it anyway. Straight up and down the path might have been a better choice for her though. The rest of the walk for me was what I expected - an enjoyable wet scramble up Devil’s Ladder and then finally being rewarded with stunning views once the clouds finally lifted, times perfectly with my lunch stop on top. Came back via the zig zags off Cnoc na Toinne which was the more sensible option.
